Land that I Love

Today's school assignment was to combine pictures and create something with text. I had these pictures from our trip to Washington D.C. a few years ago. I was pleased with how it turned out it...but it was more of a statement of how I feel about our land and our current conditions. I look at those who are fighting with rocks and sticks and their hands over in Iran. It leaves me frightened almost to see them defending their very lives with only the simplest of weapons.I am so thankful for the right to defend myself with a weapon that will protect those I love. If you think guns should be outlawed....I have one thought..." those that choose not to live by the sword can still die by the sword."

And he fastened on his head-plate, and his breastplate, and his shields, and girded on his armor about his loins; and he took the pole, which had on the end thereof his rent coat, (and he called it the title of liberty) and he bowed himself to the earth, and he prayed mightily unto his God for the blessings of liberty to rest upon his brethren...

From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans white with foam; God bless America my home sweet home.
