Maui Bike Ride

Today while racing downhill on my rented bike I was exhilerated by the whirring wind in my face, the smell of the trees and flowers around me and in awe of the beauty that surrounded me. At first,  it seemed a daunting task the in the fridgid temperatures and stinging rain. I was covered in protective clothing, prepared for an unfortunate spill, while Jon insisted thalt he ride behind me to make sure I was safe. Occasionally we would stop to look at  the beauty around but felt we needed to quickly get moving again. The time went too quickly and before I knew it our time was up.
