Caught Being Thankful

Shane and Cassie and I went for a quick ride this evening. Jon had just made his Sunday evening exit and it often feels a bit sad when he leaves so the ride in the cool autumn breeze felt soothing. With the sunroof open and the music playing softly I was in a mood of gratitude. The thankful feelings of life and love and family rushed through me...heart and mind. Life is just so good.

 In one neighborhood we passed through 2+ million dollar homes. Cassie said from the back seat, 

"I wish we were rich."

Without a moment's hesitation and with a heart full of understanding I responded, 

"We are."
