Living Proof

Tonight my friend, Lynette,  left me a belated birthday wish on my Facebook wall. She suggested in her post that because she had missed my actual birthday, she had somehow had been less than a good friend. I know if the roles were reversed I would have made the same kind of statement. In my response i told her i knew without question that she cares about me every day. We are so busy in our lives but in my minds eye I can see how many people would drop everything to come to my aid if I truly needed them. I have seen it before with my parents, my sisters Kathy, Joni and Amy.  I have three daughters that live away from home that are my sweetest friends. I know friends from Nashville would make the five hour drive to just sit and hold my hand. There are many here in St. Louis who would walk, run or crawl to help me if I was in need. There are friends in Pennsylvania, Brazil and Texas who would do whatever they could to help. It just hit me in that moment of responding to Lynette and on this day that is a celebration of love, that I have the blessing of love all around me. That picture is the gift we all seek in life; to love and be loved. And I love so many...even you Lynette!

We are the Frazier Family... We have a good life together with minimal fighting and lots of fun.
