I am so proud of Carly for her determination in training for a half marathon. It was something she had wanted to do for a while and with the encouragement from her Dad she signed up and started running. She and her friend Kandis ran side by side to the end!
As I was waiting for her I was so overcome with emotion I just knew when I saw her I would begin to cry. When she met me on the other side of the finish line she gave me a big sweaty hug and I did cry, but only a little. It was when she was talking with Jon that she began to be emotional and then her smile...a beautiful, accomplished smile. She is a family pioneer!
