Instagram Gratitude Journal

Several years ago I felt the need to keep a gratitude journal. The kids were young and the days were long and I was feeling a bit of the blues that can multiply if they become the lenses through which you see everything.

Each night before I would go to sleep I would list several things that I was thankful for. It wasn't really that difficult once I started because there were the easy answers that spilled out easily onto my page; family, love, health, job. But after several weeks I had to dig deep and it was then that I saw with new eyes. I was so appreciative of the young women in my ward who lived the standards of the gospel and who my daughters looked up to and wanted to imitate. I was aware of the little things and it changed me. Today, some 15+ years later I have needed the same gratitude fix. I have found a new way expressing what I am thankful for through a little ap on my phone...  Instagram.  In a few short months I have gathered the stories and feelings of what I feel thankful for.
