At my first doctor's visit when I was pregnant with daughter, Carly, the doctor asked me how I was feeling.
My response was, " I feel thick."
Assuming I had a lisp, he began
"Feeling sick is a common thing."
"No." I corrected.
" I feel thick."
"T-H-I-C-K"
He then understood my answer and replied appropriately.
This word, thick, came up again recently when I was telling Shane of the importance of describing girls in careful ways. I think he began describing a particular girl with the word "chunky"... a definite NO NO. He then progressed to the word "plump"...just as bad and then moved on to the word " thick" and then, to what I though was to the best one of the day,...."full".
chunky is only good if you are describing a chocolate bar or a wallet
plump is only good if you are describing a baby's cheeks or a hot dog
thick is only good if you are describing eyelashes or a juicy steak
full is just a good ole non-descript, politically correct term that will keep my son alive.
My best advice, though, if he has to describe any girl I think he should avoid any of these terms all together.

Shane cracks me up! Austin thought this was hilarious. I think he can relate to Shane's confusion on the topic.
