Everything

I know during the Christmas season many folks write sentiments of the birth, life and mission of Jesus Christ in handwritten cards. Carolers and clergy all speak of how we should remember His influence in our lives. There are cute little reminders in Christmas books of how we should live based on our testimony of Him. I reflect on all these thoughts and feel a bit empty. My belief in Him is so much more profound than a few cliche' phrases.

It is hard to know how to express my understanding, my testimony and my love for Him. I think that sometimes I can't find any words in this limited language of ours. When I use the word "love" to describe my feelings for double chocolate chunk brownies to a favorite sweater, the word love is completely inadequate to describe how I feel for the Savior of mankind, the Redeemer of the World and the One who rescues me from all my heartaches, sins, faults and problems.

His life is  my example. His life is my reason to be happy. His life is why I will never be alone or misunderstood. His life is the reason I can be forgiven for anything.

He is Everything.
