Mother's Day, the official one, has come and gone. I had great intentions of finding a favorite picture of each of my kids and writing about each one of them. I wanted to talk about what I learned and am learning from my own mother, still about the role of mothering. Next, I would ramble on about Jon being my favorite side-kick in the awesome task of parenting.
That's what I wanted to do.
Intended to do.
Never got around to doing.
And I thought....this is the script of motherhood. Always, there are the best of intentions and while some of those intentions come to fruition and are done well and on time, many are left on the shelves of my mind. It is in the fine print of our job description; we signed the contract so look carefully.
