I'm Back

Did you ever see the movie Baby Boom where Diane Keaton leaves a high powered job to stay at home with a little orphan girl some relative leaves her after their untimely demise?  Diane Keaton is forced out of her job when she can't seem to be as aggressive as she once was in business. Motherhood has softened her...(me too but in different ways). In the end she begins making  healthy baby food for her young daughter and her old company offers her  a lot of money to buy her "mom and pop" company from her. She politely excuses herself from their New York,  boardroom discussion and heads into the bathroom. She sternly looks into the mirror and exuberantly says, " I'm back, I'm back, I'm back!"

Today that is how I felt.

After a long time of not feeling my best and being unable to take classes for my photography, today I started back to school and I felt like screaming, " I'm back, I'm back, I'm back!"

Gone are the days of the first day of school stomach butterflies and social jitters. I felt at ease and in place with my mac computer in front of me and a room full of other photographers with the same love of the art that I have. My mind is clear and ready to learn and I feel fantastic!

I. AM. BACK.  It's a beautiful feeling.
