Stick with Your Strong Points

One of the recent discussions at our dinner table was what was the first word that each of our children said, or when did each child begin walking...stuff like that. Shane and Cassie sat and listened and continually asked these questions that forced me to pull out of my very weak mind the answers they sought. The "first words" and other "firsts" were easier to remember when we were discussing the older kids. With Cassie I drew blanks. I had not a clue to any of the questions that she asked about when she was young. I knew she was a very good baby and a very beautiful baby but nothing in the way of details could be summoned into my brain. I felt terrible; not guilty, just terrible.

So I decided I had to stick with what I had done to record a bit of Cassie's younger life. I have more pictures of this girl than any of my other children. Her memories are recorded in pictures.

That's the best I can do, and that's okay.

I'm good with that.

Because all details and tid-bits aside- I will eventually forget them all anyway...

I will NOT ever forget

I have the best kids!

and

I love them.
